Thriving in an unknown future

For such a people-centric industry it is astonishing how superficial many recruitment firms are with respect to their people strategy and processes.

As an owner, if you want to build equity value and command a strong multiple, it is essential to get this element of your business strategy right. At same time, creating an integrated and forward-focused people strategy is essential for a business to thrive in an unknown future.

Here is a short insight in to how we recently helped one of our clients to prepare for their next stage of growth.

Your people will make the difference between eventual success and failure

“We were in danger of hitting a growth ceiling. The value of the work Natasha did with us ensures that we now have a people strategy that underpins our overarching business plan and the executive team’s strengths are now fully maximised across the business” – Managing Partner

The Challenge

A  specialist recruiter operating in Europe, North America and APAC. Owner managed, the executive team were looking to develop structured and consistent people practices to facilitate the next phase of company growth.

Our Approach

After an audit of current culture and values, we defined the future organisational structure, roles and responsibilities required to deliver the five year plan. We created a people plan linked to clear outcomes and supported the business in the implementation of the plan.

The Results

Clear company goals have been cascaded throughout the business.  The organisation now has clarity around future hiring needs and skills gaps. There are defined job roles, consistent and fair promotion criteria and a clear performance management process.  Leadership development has been initiated, with clear paths and development plans in place for all staff.
